World Figure Skating Championship 2022 is over now and for the time being there aren’t any closeby events in figure skating. However, even in the off-season, Nathan Chen is on everyone’s mind. The best figure skater in the world missed the World Championship due to an injury. But he is now sharing a very cool message with the fans.

While Beijing Winter Olympics was blockbuster for figure skating, World Championship saw some great performances. Despite the superstars Nathan Chen and Yuzuru Hanyu being absent from the event, it was a World championship worth cherishing.

What would Nathan Chen would like to put on the billboard?

Certain words just stay with us forever. They help in shaping who we are and sometimes they become the way we live by. While most of the athletes shared something motivational, the Beijing Olympic gold medalist Nathan Chen chipped in and said“Try to care less; have fun.”

 

Canadian figure skater Keegan Messing said“Go to bed knowing you are the best person you could be.” While 2022 world championship silver medalist Loena Hendrickx from Belgium suggested, “Do what you love and never give up.”

A successful world championship

While the top figure skating stars Nathan Chen and Yuzuru Hanyu were missing from the World Figure Skating Championship, the Japanese skater Shoma Uno became the new world champion. He was accompanied by Yuma Kagiyama and Vincent Zhou on the podium. In the women’s category, it was Kaori Sakamoto of Japan who claimed the world championship title in the absence of Russian figure skaters.

Amongst other impressive skaters was the debutant Alysa Liu. The 16-year-old American figure skater won a bronze medal in her first ever World Championship. Looks like American figure skating future is certainly in good hands.
