US Figure Skating Sensation Alysa Liu’s Father Reveals Involvement of Spies Before Olympic Debut

The youngest ever US national figure skating champion Alysa Liu has been incredible in her junior years. As many see it, she is indeed the future of American figure skating. However, keeping aside her impressive capabilities on the ice, the 16-year-old and her father seemed to have an alarming incident before her Olympic debut.

In her first World Figure Skating Championship in France, she won a bronze medal. Alyssa was also a part of the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022. However, it was in the world championship that she gathered everyone’s attention. Given her potential and remarkable talent, the kid is certainly meant for outstanding achievements in her career.

According to a report published in People, Feds have arrested five individuals on the charges of spying on Chinese nationals living in the United States. Amongst the victims is the US star figure skater Alyssa Liu and her father. Alysa’s father, Arthur Liu, revealed that the FBI contacted him last year to warn about the scheme while his daughter was preparing for the Olympics.

However, Arthur didn’t mention any of this to his daughter. He said, “We believed Alysa had a very good chance of making the Olympic team and truly were very scared.”

Furthermore, the Justice Department has announced charges against the five men accused of the crime.

Apart from being the youngest national champion, her incredible performance compelled Winter Olympics medalist Adam Rippon to name her the “Simone Biles of figure skating.”

Alysa’s spectacular moves mesmerized Adam as he said, “Alysa does things so easily, but if you’re an average viewer, you almost don’t appreciate how difficult and revolutionary the program that she’s putting out is.”
