How did Kamila Valieva end in a doping controversy?
After Kamila won a gold medal at the Beijing Winter Olympics in a team event, her positive drug test report from December 2021 came to light. The 15-year-old tested positive for trimetazidine, a medicine banned in sports due to its performance enhancement qualities. However, Kamila and her lawyer claimed it might have happened because of a mix-up with her grandfather’s medicines.
