A celebrated fencing star from the US doing the same received a moment of joy and calm when he received a heartfelt wish. The Columbia University fencer received the wish as he eyes the Pan American Games.
Andrew Doddo is a world championship bronze medalist fencer representing Team USA. USA Fencing took to social media to give a heartwarming wish to Doddo. The champion fencer is in Santiago, Chile right now for the Pan Am Championship.
American Fencing star gets birthday boost before Pan Am Games

Andrew Doddo is a senior fencing athlete who graduated from Columbia University. Doddo is one of the most brilliant fencers in the world who has shown constant improvement in his skill. Doddo was part of the Second All-America Honoree Team in 2019, from where he exalted himself to the First Team in 2020. USA Fencing uploaded a post on Instagram to wish the ever-growing fencer a happy birthday.

The 2023 World bronze medalist has shown his flair at zonal championships before as well. He recently claimed two gold medals at the Pan American Games held in Lima in June. Andrew Doddo came on top of the competition as he propelled the US to a team win and an individual gold as well. In fact, he’ll be looking forward to doing the same in Santiago, Chile.

America’s shining saber fencer to claim another glory
Andrew Doddo walked out as a gold medalist in the men’s individual saber event of the June Pan Am Games. The fencing star triumphed in Lima against Venezuelan fencer Jose Quintero. The American outscored Quintero with a score of 15-9 to take the win. The champion fencer also looked out for the US in a dangerously close team showdown against Canada. With Doddo on their side, the US outranked the Canadian fencers with a close score of 45-40.

Speaking to the media after his win, Doddo said, “I’m excited to have established myself as a dominant force in my zone, but the World Championships is where I really want to make an impact.” Doddo followed through with his words and won the bronze medal in Milan at the World Championship. The Pan American Games kicked off in Santiago on 20th October. Will Doddo be able to repeat his triumph in Peru at Chile?
