As someone put it aptly, “If the desire is greater than the fear- everything is possible!” Getting inspired by the Paralympians, parasport lovers are also pushing their boundaries to feel at the top of the world. Lately, UP Adaptive Sports started its campaign to provide an opportunity for parasport adventure seekers to enjoy winter sports. Two specially abled sisters Tessa Kamsteeg and Arlette Kamsteeg reached the Austrian Alps to enjoy sit skiing. Their movements around the snow made them feel alive and explore the world in a new way.

The sisters felt like reaching the pinnacle of their excitement as they participate in extreme sports. Let’s dig deeper into the matter.

There are several people who indeed were not able to participate in the Paralympics. So the TAKT – Together Advancing Common Trust has taken the initiative with the help of European Funds to help them. Recently, Parasports World posted a video on their Facebook page sharing the experience of Tessa and Arlette Kamsteeg with the help of their coaches. They captioned it with, “The Parasport Adventurer project seeks to inspire people with a disability to participate in adventure and extreme sports, pushing their own boundaries and smashing stereotypes in the process.” The adventure indeed boosted their energy and, full of enthusiasm, they concluded, “When I’m skiing, I feel like a bad*ss, whereas usually, I don’t”.

In addition, the authority also declared how they have worked hand in hand with their partners to make three documentaries. The sisters wanted to accomplish an activity despite being specially abled. As one of them shared, “This is the fourth time we’re going on an actual winter sports holiday. And before that, I’ve done it indoors. Two or three times, I think”. Eventually, the love for adventure always makes them want to conquer the world, pushing off any limits. Indeed, it’s a change for them to partake in an extreme sport, “It’s a fun adventure. To just go sit skiing, to be active for a change. Because usually, I’m not physically active that often. So let’s say its fun that this is a way in which I can get physically active.”
