Winning a horse race at one of the prestigious tracks like Saratoga is always special. But winning your fourth race in just six starts on the track makes it exceptional. Casa Creed, the 7-year-old horse trained by famed equestrian trainer William Mott, achieved that exception.

But, whenever such a performance or class is witnessed, it is recognized in the racing circle and praised. Casa Creed’s win at Fourstardave has raised expectations about who few think is walking on the route of Sultan of Saratoga, Fourstardave. Casa Creed, ridden by Luis Saez, won the race by unleashing a powerful stretch in the end.

Famed Equestrian trainer scores a win again

Trained by worth $332,646,882 William Mott, Casa Creed arrived at the event winning his last Grade 3 Kelso Stake race. Despite his win, he was 9-5 odds and the  6-5 favorite was Annapolis, the runner-up of his last race. Appearing in his 33rd career race, Casa Creed maintained the fourth-place position at the start of the race. My Sea Cottage set the pace in the race, but Annapolis overtook him in the mid-stretch. Casa Creed covered the quarter-mile in 23.31 seconds, half a mile in 46.57 seconds, and the third quarter in 1:10.14 seconds. Casa Creed kept behind Annapolis and took charge in the last phase in a furious stretch contest in which he prevailed to claim the title in 1:34.20.

The equestrian trainer William Mott got his other win this year with the perfect performance from the seven-year-old. Speaking about his triumph, Mott said, “He’s a good horse, very special“. Mott further said, “How can you ask for anything more? He’s improved with every year he’s raced. He’s as good now as he ever was“. With his win at $500,000, Fourstardave Handicap Grade 1 stake Casa Creed has received a “win and you’re in”. This means that he has qualified for the Breeders’ Cup and got the fourth opportunity to run in the world championships.

Casa Creed equestrian race journey

Casa Creed is the son of Jimmy Creed and Achalya. He is owned by LRE Racing LLC and JEH Racing Stable LLC and was bred by Silver Springs Stud, LLC, Kentucky. He started racing in 2019 and has raced in all the major and famed equestrian race tracks from Belmont Park, Churchill Downs to Saratoga. Interestingly, he had eight graded stakes wins, including the Fourstardave. In his 33 career starts in has nine first-position finishes.

This year he has shown formidable form and won two races in his four starts and finished second and third in his other two. This year he added $719,250 to his total earnings, leading it to $2,460,308 to date. The win at Fourstardave for the second time shows Casa Creed’s potential and form. With qualification for Breeder’s Cup, the seven-year-old has set a big target for the coming race.
