The FEI Eventing European Championship is underway in Haras du Pin, France. The team from Great Britain is also participating in the prestigious equestrian event. After day one of the dressage competition the Brits performed the best and Yasmin Ingham secured the individual gold by 23.4 points.
The competition is still in progress with the Brits currently leading the tally on the board. For Ingham, it was a major start after the world championship which she had begun with a win. After finishing first at dressage she posted a special message for her equine partner that caught the attention of the people.
26-year-old equestrian praises her horse

Yasmin Ingham the 26-year-old equestrian from the Isle of Man shared her happiness of winning on the first day of the FEI Eventing European Championship and also praised her horse Banzai du Loir. She posted on her Instagram page the message with a photo of her riding her horse in the event. In the caption, she wrote a long message starting with expressing her admiration for the perfect start of team Great Britain in the competition.

The world champion wrote, “Banzai produced a seriously smart test today to sit in individual GOLD, after day one of dressage scoring 23.4. So unbelievably proud of him, he tried so hard today!“. Igham won the world championship on the same horse last year. The equestrian is once again on a winning streak in this competition with Banzai.
She also congratulated Kitty King on her super performance and Team Britain’s position at the top of the chart. King is currently Britain’s leading performer in the competition. Ingham also thanked Alison Bell for taking proper care of her horse and making him perform the best at events. She further said that she will be cheering her teammates the next day of the competition with her horse having an off day to relax.

Yasmin Ingham is a native of the Isle of Man, a 21km wide and 53 km long island situated in the middle of the Irish Sea. Her equestrian career started when she first competed at Pony Club Championships in 2011 representing her island pony club where she finished second in the open section and won the Cross Country Horsemanship Award Bursary. Later on the next year, she was called for the team Britain to participate in individual Pony European Eventing Championships in Fontainebleau. There she didn’t perform well and secured 36th rank.
In 2013 she won gold in the Pony European Championships aboard the Craig Mor Tom. In 2018 she won the National Young Rider Championships and was named for Young Rider Europeans in Fontainebleau. There also she finished fourth in individual rank. Her major equestrian achievement came in 2022 when she won World Championships abroad the Banzai du Loir. Currently, the world champion is positioned seventh in the world athlete ranking and third in the zone ranking.

Yasmin Inghams shared a message showing her love and care for the horse with whom she won her first senior gold medal and also her determination to win and support her teammates at the ongoing FEI Eventing European Championship.
