Equestrian sports is a challenging sport but also equally amazing to watch. In this sport, accuracy, and timing is everything. For it, the horse and rider have to be in their peak condition. When they perform successfully it gives an unspeakable satisfaction to the rider and elevates the mood of spectators. The spectators present at the Longines Royal International Horse Show went through a similar mood.

Worth 5 million dollars equestrian Robert Whitaker pulled out a perfect performance in the Longines King George V Gold Cup. The performance was shared on social media and grabbed comments from the fans who were elated to by watching him.

Elite equestrian’s thrilling performance

British Showjumping shared the clip of Robert Whitaker performing on the final day of the Longines King George V Gold Cup. The post had a detailed caption that said that “What an afternoon for Robert Whitaker Equestrian as he secured victory in the Longines King George V Gold Cup on the final day of the Longines Royal International Horse Show“.  It further said that the equestrian rode Caroline Blatchford’s Vermento. Vermento is the ten-year-old stallion bred by Robert’s father John Whitaker.

The caption also said that “the combination jumped the only double clear of the class“. Robert now joins the elite class of equestrian show jumpers who have won this class. Those elite class of equestrian show jumpers also include his father who has won it three times. In the clip, Robert started perfectly clearing the initial fences. His horse was jumping well. After small fences, he went for the water pool fence which he jumped clearly.

After that approached higher fences. One typical was a double gate fence that stood at 1.60 meters high and had an 8.50-meter distance between them. Robert cleared that fence in perfect fashion. Later on, he cleared four more fences and won the jump in 82.15 seconds without any penalty. The crowd rose and applauded the incredible performance by the equestrian and his horse. The clip was also a hit on the internet and garnered 21k views and grabbed comments from equestrian enthusiasts.

Fans pour to greet the equestrian on his performance

The fans were elated after watching the fabulous jumping and poured to praise the equestrian. One fan wrote, “It was fabulous to watch live from the stands …. The atmosphere was electric” showing how amazed he was watching the performance from the stands and describing the atmosphere at the arena as electric. Another fan said, “Congratulations. Your horse is so gorgeous and elegant. WOW, such a beauty” greeting and praising the horse of the Robert. Another equestrian enthusiast wrote, “Well done fabulous jumping!!!” praising the perfect jump made by the horse.

Another enthusiast said, “Very well-ridden and such a gorgeous horse!” appreciating the riding skill of the equestrian and praising the horse.
