Bill Gates’s oldest daughter Jennifer Gates is an accomplished equestrian. After taking hiatus for a short period during which she gave birth to a beautiful daughter, it seems like she is working on her international comeback. The multi-billionaire’s first child was seen earlier practicing with her mare Dollin for the past few weeks at Spruce Meadows. Amid her excitement, Jennifer had to face unfortunate circumstances as her long-time equine partner, passed away.

Her trusted horse Lord Levisto with whom she participated in many events, is no more. She shared this sad news with her fans with an emotional message. With Lord Levisto her partnership journey continued for two years in which she also won medals.

Jennifer Gates shares difficult news with fans

Evergates Stable, owned by Jennifer, shared the sad news of the passing away of her earlier horse Lord Levisto through their Instagram page. In the caption, they shared a message describing him as a talented and reliable partner with whom she won her first gold at Junior World Riders. She also mentioned the visit she made to him after his retirement and the adorable scene she enjoyed during it.

The news grabbed the attention of the fans and equestrian enthusiasts who poured in with condolence messages and appreciation for her animal care. The emotional message ended by calling the horse “sweet Levi”. The news was posted with different photos of her with Levisto and a background song ‘The Good Ones’ by Gabby Barrett. In 2015 in an interview with Sidelines Magzine, Jennifer said that Levisto was the best horse she had had the pleasure to ride. “I trust him so much when we’re in the ring together.”, she’d said.

Jennifer and Levisto’s Career

The 2002-born bay-color gelding Lord Levisto came into Jennifer Gates’ life in 2014. Prior to that, it was ridden by Slovak equestrian Jana Slavikova. Jennifer participated in her first event with Levisto at the first qualifying competition for the regional championship in Lexington Kentucky in July 2014. Later on, she won her first gold medal at the same regional Championships in Lexington Kentucky with Lord Levisto. After that, she participated with him in 21 competitions over the course of two years.

After the first position at the regional championship, the highest position was achieved by Jennifer with Levisto when they won the third position at the jumping event in Los Angles. Jennifer’s last ride on Levisto was on July 2016 at Spruce Meadows, Calgary. After that, the horse was retired.
