The world of sports has often been welcoming of the inspirational stories iterated by its most passionate and determined. The equestrian grounds have stood no back either in embracing cases similar over the years. Be it the passion of a 77-year-old equestrian or an 11-year-old battling the odds, the sport offers learning for all. Today, a para-equestrian from Australia joins these stories as she treads successfully.
Horse rider Suzin Wells suffered multiple surgeries on her leg a couple of years back. Though the circumstances yielded unforeseen results, the equestrian got up strong and well. Following with her passion so dear, Suzin for the most recent part achieved what would have once seemed like a far dream.

Suzin found her love for the equestrian sport as a young kid. She continued on her her passion as she brought her first horse, keeping it a secret from her parents, and later went on to participate in various events. However, the equestrian was confronted with a bigger challenge when she suffered an infection in her legs in 2018; further leading to her amputation. But that wasn’t a stop sign for Suzin who went on to win National Dressage Championship despite her challenges.

Earlier this month, Suzin and her coach Sharon took a first step toward their dreams as they attended the contest; traveling to rural Victoria. Their second win arrived when Suzin became the National Reserve Champion. After her feat, the equestrian said, ?The sky is the limit? mindful of her future. As Suzin stood victorious at the arena, her rocky road journey towards it shined through; nothing short of inspiration.

After having her first leg amputated back in 2018, it took the equestrian only 8 months to get back on the field. ?“? there are things that will bring you down and that?s normal life, but you just don?t unpack your bags and stay there,? she told Meta Jauun News. But just as she was recovering from the incident, she was challenged with yet another. An infection had spread over the bottom of her left foot. The situation severed further which led to her second amputation.

But to no one’s surprise, the equestrian was back to riding and this time just after four weeks. ?Riding a horse, you don?t feel disabled, you feel like you?re just like everyone else,” Suzin said. Interestingly, the equestrian did not limit her love for the horses to the field. Suzin owns a brand named “First Bit Equine” where she markets equine accessories. She started the brand hoping to help people form a connection with their horses without harming them.

Alongside managing her business, Suzin looks to further her career as an equestrian. She says, ?I just live for riding ? I don?t want to do anything else.??And when she does, she inspires a thousand onlookers.
