The Girl on the Dancing Horse writer Charlotte Dujardin is ruling the equestrian dressage world with her phenomenal skills. The 38-year-old is also known as the most celebrated dressage athlete in her era. Having gained six Olympic and several individual titles, the British-based rider is a proud mom too. The athlete was blessed with Isabella Rose, her daughter, on March 6 2023. But now, she led another big event with great pride and honor.

In a partnership with the Equestrian Management Agency, British Dressage had announced its 25th year celebration, with Charlotte Dujardin leading the show at the 2023 National Convention. After making headlines in 2019 at Addington Equestrian, the event was held at the same venue. The purpose of the convention was to pay tribute to the prolific successes of the UK dressage athletes and their equines. Among them, the most deserving received a shout out from a special brand.

Lemieux, the brand specializing in top-tier equestrian products, had posted a story featuring Dujardin in her natural elements. They captioned the story as “And Ofcourse who else could bring a 25 year celebration of @british_dressage to an end… But the queen of British Dressage…” The story was further reshared by Dujardin. Since the dressage routines are all about art and syncing beats, the 38-year-old was painting on the Addington Equestrian’s sands.

At just 2-year-old, the Olympian had grown a penchant for riding. Crediting some of her career achievements to her show jumper sister, the little enthusiast grabbed second position at the Pony Club as a show jumper. The early dyslexia diagnosed athlete had also taken inspiration from trainer Debbie Thomas. There’s no stopping since. Undoubtedly, the UK celebrates her, owing to her four-time Horse of the Year Show competition win.

Her purse includes World freestyle and Grand Prix Special, individual Olympic freestyle, World Cup individual dressage, and European freestyle titles. With six Olympic medals and three golds among them, the British rider has seen better days since gelding Valegro had graced her life.

Motherhood had a great impact on the Olympian’s life. Two months after she had given birth to her little munchkin, the star dressage artist returned to her form.

At the 2023 Royal Windsor Horse Show, the new mom returned to her favorite sport after nine weeks of giving birth to Isabella. She trained for three weeks and her well-deserving gold win at that event was a commendable one.

Team GB took to their X handle to post “Adorable and remarkable in equal measure. Just TWO months after giving birth, @CSJDujardin is victorious on the opening day of the Royal Windsor Horse Show.” With a legendary score of 77.261%, she defended her title. As the cherry on top, Isabella graced the sidelines to cheer on her mom.
