The daughter of billionaire Bill Gates, Jennifer Gates, is a world-class equestrian. Her desire for equestrian started as a hobby, which soon became an elite passion with substantial training. Jennifer Gates is the founder of Evergate Stables, an international show jumping stable with two professional equestrians, her husband Nayel Nassar and Harrie Smolders.
Recently, Harrie Smolders participated in Longines Global Championship, where the finest equestrians across the world pitch in. The championship competition was held in the Monaco city. The lavish equestrian show was nothing less than magnificent, where Harrie Smolders also established his name and was eulogized by Jennifer Gates for his incredible performance.

In the Longines championship tour, the formerly top-ranked show jumper in the world, Harrie manifested his best performance. Smolders was performing with his horse Monaco N.o.p., and the consistency and pace taken by the horse were remarkable. Harrie acquired the second position in the competition, for which he was praised by Jennifer Gates. Gates expressed her delight by saying, “Proud is an understatement,” for Harrie’s performance with a silver medal. Harrie secured a Golden Ticket to the Longines Global Championship Tour Super Grand Prix, which is about to be held in the capital city of the Czech Republic, Prague.

Harrie expressed his pride and contentment, “Ever heard of consistency? He does it again, Monaco taking 🥈 in Monaco – what a horse. There is no arena he can’t do well in. Close to that ever elusive win, but couldn’t be more proud of this horse 👏”. The emotions of the rides ran as high as their horses did; all of them expressed their joy and satisfaction for taking part in LGCT and securing a position.

The Gold and Silver medalist in Monaco leg global Champions tour
The first position was conquered by Julien Epaillard, a Frenchman with 1.5 million in LGCT, and the third position was secured by a young female equestrian, Loli Mytilineou. It was Loli’s first ever LGCT recognition. Harrie finished in 37.81 seconds, and the bronze medalist Loli claimed in a timing of 40.17 seconds, which was overpowered by Epaillard, who posted 36.54 seconds.

The Longines championship tour competition was held on 1st July 2023 at Monaco, where some elite equestrians took part, hoping to add their names to the winning list. It has one of the highest amounts of prizes with 1.5 million euros. The best horses are brought up to the world manifestation of equestrian show jumping.
