An equestrian race is more than a horse running in the field. It represents the dedication, care, and time spent on the horse by different people to keep it in good shape for the race day. The one person responsible for the care and training of the horse to perform at the race is his trainer. So, when a horse wins the race it is a source of immense joy for the trainer.

This joy is fourfold when the trainer wins his 2000th race in his career. Recently, the famed trainer John Servis achieved an unbelievably rare feat at Parx Racing in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. This is no small feat and when he started his career back in 1984 he would have never thought he would see this day.
