Time continued its course and several of his offsprings passed away and joined him in the afterlife. The world received another saddening news of the demise of Secretariat’s last known daughter recently. Trusted Company lived for 34 years and gave birth to several talented offsprings. The sad news of her demise was first reported by author, photographer, and journalist, Patricia McQueen. The renowned journalist posted a heartfelt message on her Facebook page on 10th September 2023.

Expressing her heartfelt eulogy, she penned, “I knew it was inevitable. After all, it’s the rare Thoroughbred that makes it past 30 years, let alone past 34. Still, having to say farewell to the delightful Trusted Company even at her advanced age is hard. For now, I’ll honor her memory simply with a photo from the first time I saw her in late 2018.”

She further wrote that it was a thrill to have known her. McQueen is very passionate about equestrian sports, especially Secretariat, his legacy, and his next generation. In fact, she has also authored a book about the mighty and lightning-fast equestrian racehorse.
