About Equine Therapy

Equine therapy is an old concept since ancient times and became popular during the 1950s and 60s. The purpose of equine-related therapy was to help people manage their emotions better, improve their mental processes, and have self-confidence. In this kind of therapy, the horse’s interaction with humans is used to heal the patient. This therapy helps in children’s cases because it is less threatening and more emotionally interactive. In cases like anxiety,  trauma, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, this therapy plays a major role in treatment along with other medical procedures.
