The Breeder’s Cup is going to take place next month. In connection to it, many ‘Win & You’re In’ and preparation races are being held at various tracks across the country. On Sunday, a similar prep race was conducted at Santa Anita in which many famed trainers took part to test their horses.

The race was one and one-sixteenth mile Grade 2 $200,000 Zenyatta Stakes for a three-year-old mare and fillies and above. At the race, Bob Baffert’s trained four-year-old Adare Manor won the race after being a prohibitive favorite 1-9 prior to the race. Adare Manor’s past performance spoke of his talent and at Zenyatta Stakes, all eyes were on him.

Equestrian trainer’s trained filly wins his fourth stakes

The famed equestrian trainer Bob Baffert brought his four-year-old filly to see if she had what was required of her Adare Manor arrived at the race after continuously winning her last four races of which three were graded stakes win. Juan Hernandez rode $981,600-worth of filly at the race. According to paulickreport, at the start of the race, Adare Manor took the lead firmly and had a two and half length lead from her chaser Desert Dawn trained by Phil D?Amato after the quarter pole. Adare Manor covered the quarter mile in 23.71 seconds, a half mile in 47.91 seconds, and a three-quarter mile in 1:11.96. After the quarter pole, the filly raced to increase the gap and won the race by Five and a quarter lengths. Adare Manor completed the race in 1:43.70.

The win gave Bob Baffert the much-needed confidence in the filly. He said, “She had been training really well. Morgan who gets on her in the morning said she couldn’t get any better“. He further added that he came to this race to watch something like what the filly displayed at the competition. Such a performance is needed to win the Breeder’s Cup. Now, he feels satisfied and ready to go to Santa Anita in November. The jockey, who rode the filly, was also quite happy with the filly and shared his thoughts on her.

Equestrian jockey delighted with Adare Manor

Juan Hernandez was joyful about the incredible performance of the four-year-old filly. He said, “ She broke a little slow the last couple of times, but today she broke on her own“. Hernandez didn’t have to make any serious effort as she pushed and galloped on her own and set the pace of the race. He mentioned that the credit for her performance today goes to the renowned equestrian trainer and his team who made her ready for the Zenyatta Stakes.
