London Freestyle winner Charlotte (Lottie) Fry is having a brilliant year. Days ago, at the FEI London Dressage, Fry and her partner Everdale were placed second, narrowly missing out on the top spot to fellow British equestrian Charlotte Dujardin. Last year too, riding on Glamourdale, Fry mesmerized the audience with their grace. Now, with Glamourdale being within the hand’s reach of another major honor, Fry urged her fans to nominate the Dutch Warmblood.
Taking to social media, Charlotte Fry has revealed that Glamourdale has been nominated for the Dressage Horse of the Year. The Olympic medalist and two-time World Championships gold medalist’s fondness for her previous partner remains unwavering as she seeks to help Glamourdale achieve another personal accolade.

Equestrian riders’ success often depends on how well they are acquainted with their four-legged partners. 2023 London International Horse Show, Lottie Fry won the 2023 London International Horse Show for a second year running. Her win came on Glamourdale and it looks like the stallion has made some serious impressions on the folks over at KWPN. The Dutch organization has shortlisted the 12-year-old as a contender for the 2023 Dressage Horse of the Year.
In her Instagram story, Fry has also shared the link where her fans can head over and make sure Glamourdale’s chances of being awarded the title are stronger. Glamourdale has a team gold medal at the 2023 Continental Championships in Germany. The stallion has won the KWPN Horse of the Year title in 2020 and looks to reclaim its status once again.
Glamourdale has multiple major accomplishments under his belt. Winning gold at the FEI World Grand Prix Freestyle made the horse look equally comfortable with having fun on the job as she’s used to showcasing her discipline at dressage. Fry has also added numerous feathers to her personal record hat and she thinks Glamorudale should be the most outstanding horse among the group.

Prestigious awards seem ephemeral (at east for some)
The year has been phenomenal for equestrian riding. Along with the KWPN, the United States Equestrian Federation has also shared its list of the prestigious Horse of the Year nominees. Fans can cast their votes for their favorite contenders for the ward through the official USEF website.

While the world waits to see who wins the KWPN honor, Italian equestrian legend Frankie Dettori’s recently mising out the BBC SPOTY award isn’t sitting well with the fans. As the community uproars about Dettori being “robbed”, let’s hope Glamourdale’s win can act as relief.
