She said, “He put a massive one in and just launched me unto the air and I hit the deck, then he ran off.” Expressing her fear and concern, she admitted, “It was scary, I was in tears.” Reflecting on her injury, Olivia revealed, “I’ve broken my wrist, the bone is crushed throughout with breaks on each side…I thought I’d just badly sprained it.” Undeterred, Olivia had hoped to resume riding the following week, but the reality proved tougher than expected.

With a primary goal of raising funds for education, she embraced the accident’s unfortunate nature, recognizing it could have been worse. While accepting the likelihood of missing the upcoming race, Olivia remains hopeful for a comeback next year. Her focus now lies on recovery and reuniting with her horse, Dolly, as she eagerly counts down the remaining three weeks in a cast. This year’s edition of the charity event she was gearing up for boasts an impressive lineup of popular names.
