Recently, the death of a 15-year-old equestrian named Hannah Serfass pained the equestrian community. Serfass lost her life due to an unfortunate accident at Fox Lea farm in Venice. Galloping on her horse Quaxx 2, she was thrown off the horse and unluckily tripped and experienced a rotational fall. Badly injuring her head, Serfass died after this accident. Amidst condolences from the equestrian community, the young equestrian’s mother Janine Serfass had a heartfelt request for horse riders.

A newsfeed named WTSP gave all details of Janice’s message to horse riders. Describing her daughter’s love for horse riding, Janine stated how the horse Hannah rode wasn’t at fault. Elaborating on how she had discussed with the authorities about the accident, she implied that there wasn’t a clear-cut answer to why the horse fell. With this, she told fans what would be Hannah’s wish if she were alive and made an emotional plea to horse riders.

Janine said, “I’m sure she would say from the grave, Please get back on and ride.” Through these words, Janine expressed her daughter’s love for riding horses. Riding in the winter circuit of Ocala’s World Equestrian Center, Hannah was passionate about riding horses and wished to become a professional equestrian. Continuing, Janine added that if her daughter was alive, she would have continued riding horses. Through these words, Janine is clearly requesting riders to ride in her daughter’s honor.

Further, Janine stated, “And you know, if she had to plan her own demise, this is the way she would have planned it”, referring to her daughter’s fondness for horse riding. Hannah had secured victory at the Hamel National show in 2021 getting a 3’3″ medal class. Not only this, but Hannah also contested in horse riding contests in Michigan. Rising to popularity at the age of 13, her story was also featured in the World Equestrian Magazine.

Hannah’s death is proof of how risky and unpredictable horse riding can be. Recently, another life was also recently negatively impacted by this unpredictability of the sport and made headlines over the world.  A 23-year-old equestrian suffered a saddening fate, which caught the attention of the equestrian community.

Miss Universe Australia competitor experiences an unfortunate incident

Galloping on her horse at the Windsor Polo grounds in New South Wales on 2nd April, Weir’s horse fell, leading to Weir being badly injured.  Immediately taken to the Westmead Hospital, Weir battled to survive for more than 15 days. Put on life support, Weir was critically ill.

Unfortunately, the 23-year-old horse rider succumbed to her injuries and passed away on 2nd May, Thursday. Post her death, condolences poured from her family, friends, fans, and her modeling agency named Scoop Management. Her boyfriend Tom Bull also accepted this news with a heavy heart and said, “We loved with a love that was more than love.” Riding from the age of three, Weir’s life was unfortunately cut short by this tragedy.
