The equestrian scene in the US is booming with the rise of several young rookie racehorses. Spectators are witnessing a similar blowup in the neighboring country of Canada, where a $580,871 horse is beating everyone. The three-year-old equestrian racehorse already announced its mammoth presence among Canadian racehorses. And it’s all because of his terrific racing record. He’ll enter his next big showdown as a clear favorite after winning a major race at 101 Beyer Speed Figure.

The ‘Prince’ to rule over a ‘Princely’ equestrian race

Paramount Prince was bred in Ontario, Canada. The three-year-old equestrian racehorse has devastated the competition with a stellar record. The rookie racehorse has won three out of the six races it started in. Moreover, he always finished under the top three in the races he failed to win. Paramount Prince is steadily exalting its speed with every race. In fact, he climbed the Beyer Speed Figure ladder from 77, then crossed the 86 and 99 mark to reach 101. Most recently, the ‘Prince’ took a ‘King-sized’ win at the King’s Plate Stakes (Black Type) racing event on 20th August. The Ontario racehorse has earned the love of spectators and the ire of his foes for the upcoming race.

Paramount Prince is ready to take on his next big ‘Princely’ challenge and partake in the Prince of Wales Stakes. The racing event is valued at $293,200 and is considered the second jewel of the Canadian Triple Crown. Paramount Prince is participating as a favorite this time owing to his brilliant performance in August. In fact, he will race on the same racetrack where he has reigned superior almost every time. Horse Racing Nation spoke to the breeder of Paramount Prince about her thoughts on the next race. The humble and grounded breeder said that she believes the racehorse has a fair chance of winning.

Paramount Prince riding on shoulders of royal breeder and trainer

Paramount Prince achieves his stellar victories on the backs of his trainer Mark Casse and his breeder, Ericka Nadine Rusnak. According to Rusnak, “I believe that he is certainly capable of doing it.” Despite her initial confidence, Rusnak also added, But I don’t want to jinx anything. I’m a little superstitious. So I’m just going in there with a hardy sense of optimism.” While Rusnak is right in her place to not be overconfident, the expert hands of trainer Casse won’t fail her.

Mark Casse is a Canadian Hall of Famer and carries an impressive record. The equestrian trainer has lived and breathed the sport for several years. In fact, he was one of the privileged souls to witness the Secretariat race live. The experienced hands of Casse have molded Paramount Prince into his current state of a winner. The Ontario racehorse will reign terror on his opponents once again and clinch the Triple Crown race on 12th September.
