Next year, the biggest equestrian event is taking place at the Paris Olympics 2024. All major teams and equestrian athletes are working out day and night to qualify for the event. One opportunity for them is coming in the form of the FEI Jumping Nations Cup final 2023. Among the athletes who are ready to mark on the Paris Olympics is Bruce Springsteen’s daughter Jessica Springsteen.

The FEI Jumping Nations Cup final is a gateway to qualifying for the Olympics. The winner of the event will book a berth in next year’s Olympics. The United States equestrian has declared its jumping team for the Nations Cup Final. Bruce Springsteen’s daughter is part of the team.

The United States equestrian declared the five-member jumping team for the Nations Cup Final at Barcelona. The event will be held from the 28th of September to the 1st of October 2023. In an Instagram Story, Jessica Springsteen shared the team details in which she was included. The team included Karl Cook, Laura Kraut, Devin Ryan, McLain Ward, and Jessica Springsteen. The US Jumping team’s Chef d’Equipe will be Robert Ridland. The United States is the only high-ranking team at the event that has not qualified for the next year’s Olympics.

If the United States fails to qualify for the Olympics at this event then, the last event for the qualification will be the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile which will be held from 31st October to 3rd November. Bruce Springsteen’s daughter Jessica Springsteen is all set to make her impact at the event to appear again in the Olympics. Her first Olympic experience was at the Tokyo Olympics where she won the team event silver medal after missing the gold by 1.3 seconds. The team included the 2008 Olympic gold medalist Laura Kraut and two-time Olympic gold medalist McLain Ward. Jessica Springsteen’s last event was at the Global Champions Tour Grand Prix where she won riding her long companion Don Juan van de Donkhoeve.

Bruce Springsteen’s daughter’s equestrian career

Jessica Springsteen started taking her equestrian lessons at the age of five. She started taking part in the events later and got her maiden win in the year 2008 at the ASPCA Maclay Finals. Since then she gradually progressed and the total is an Olympian medalist and a dominant force in equestrian sports. In 2010 she won team silver and individual bronze at the FEI North American Youth Championships. She was part of the US team at the FEI Nations Cup including the team which won in 2014,2020, and 2021.

After the Tokyo Olympics silver, she continued her winning journey that year and won the €500,000 Rolex Grand Prix riding RMF Zecilie and  CSI2* Grand Prix riding Tiger Lily. This year, she had a good start by securing the second position at  Wellington Equestrian Realty CSI4* and was also part of the national jumping team that won the FEI jumping nations cup at San Juan Capistrano.

Jessica Springsteen’s equestrian experience at the last Olympics will definitely be a boosting factor not to leave any stone unturned to make the team US qualify for the next year’s Olympics and make her mark on it.
