The equestrian realm always offers a level-playing field for everyone. However, some players are so talented that they always make things look unfair. Trainers and riders keep trying their hand at causing an upset and beating such players, but their moment rarely arrives. Hall of Famer jockey Kent J. Desormeaux dominated the racetrack and won three back-to-back races on 11th August 2023.
The ace equestrian rider swept past all the riders at the competition and forced them to bite the dust. Desormeaux earned the wins while riding for legendary trainer Jeff Bonde. Desormeaux was charged with a violation and suspended for the upcoming days. However, he decided to make the most of Friday.

The Del Mar racetrack of San Diego is notorious for being one of the toughest racetracks. The popular venue attracts the greatest talent from all over the country and instantly wipes out weak players. Desormeaux, however, had no plans of losing. His most remarkable victory came while riding the favorite of the race, Lord Prancealot. The equestrian won a nail-biting match atop the rookie racehorse who has a perfect record so far.
Desormeaux participated in the $125,000 Graduation Stakes at Del Mar with Lord Prancealot. The equestrian had his priorities straight. He did not wish to chase or make a last-second winning charge. The Hall of Famer aggressively led the race from start to finish and beat rival Juan Hernandez by a margin of a head. “He’s so quick,” said the champ about Lord Prancealot. I was just holding him up. I know he’s quick,” said Desormeaux after the win.
He won two more races at Del Mar, one coming atop another of Bonde’s horses. Desormeaux started his winning campaign on Friday with Bonde’s Lord Prancealot and ended it with Bonde’s Mr. T’s Thirsty. While the equestrian emerged as a clear winner, he was originally not supposed to officially ride on Friday.

The violation and the suspension
Equestrian rider Desormeaux attracted a suspension of three days due to a violation he committed on 30th July. Apparently, Desormeaux had changed the course of his horse before he managed to reach the minimum clearing distance. The suspension was imposed via a ruling on 3rd August, and the equestrian was supposed to be banned from 10th to 12th August.

Desormeaux, however, appealed to the equestrian body to allow him to participate on 11th August. The body approved his appeal, which later on allowed him to appeal to the crowds in the stands. Speaking about the victory of his racehorse Lord Prancelot, trainer Bonde said that he was aware of the amount of speed the racehorse carried. He noted that he trusted his latest rookie as soon as he left the gate. Fans will look forward to seeing more of the electrifying combination of Lord Prancelot and Desormeaux in the upcoming races.
