The year 2023 has presented a lot of opportunities for the handicap division. Making the most of the opportunity, a rookie racehorse won a significant Grade 1 race in style. Racing in just the fourth race of its career, the equestrian racehorse won the third race of its career. That pushes the winning rate of this horse to a whopping 75 percent. The current season is witnessing the rise of several new-age fillies and thoroughbreds. However, this racehorse stands apart from the rest of the crowd.

Geaux Rocket Ride is a three-year-old colt under the equestrian trainer Richard Mandella. Mandela is taking advantage of the fact that one of the prime competitors, Flightline, will be out for the year. With his technique, tactics, and a new promising candidate, Mandela eyes a grand event.

According to Mandella, a Grade 1 racing event like the Pacific Classic is too good to miss. This becomes especially true when a prime competitor is currently out of commission. Mandela said that participating in the Pacific is one of the most logical things to do for an up-and-coming three-year-old colt. He said the Pacific would be the ideal training ground for any horse. The equestrian made this remark about all horses that are currently aiming for the upcoming Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Classic.

While at his barn on 23rd July, Mandela was seen in a sweatshirt and jeans. This was odd, considering that he is usually one of the most well-dressed individuals at any event. This was because the veteran equestrian had immediately departed to prepare Geaux Rocket Ride for its subsequent victory. He made haste despite his rising star winning the Grade 1 Haskell Invitational Stakes less than 24 hours ago.

On 22nd July 2023, at the Monmouth Park equestrian racetrack, Geaux Rocket Ride clinched its third career victory, according to Blood Horse. While the dangerous Flightline was not partaking in the event, the race was still full of great racehorses. Geaux Rocket Ride had to dash past another racehorse with excellent caliber to win. Geaux Rocket Ride beat Mage, who recently won the Grade 1 Kentucky Derby race. Mage has also recently made its entry into the equestrian world and has won two races out of six starts.

Speaking in praise of his new and shining equestrian potential, Mandela said, “He’s been through a lot to get this far this fast. I couldn’t be more proud of him.” He also said that while it is possible that he will be taking Geaux Rocket Ride for the Pacific Classic, he will make sure that the young talent gets plenty of rest before its next race.
