Five Star General was bred in Kentucky. The seven-year-old racehorse undertook a 2300-mile journey to reach the $150,000 Longacres Mile Glory racing venue. Five Star General started its journey from Louisville, Kentucky, to reach the Emerald Downs Racetrack in Washington. However, this journey proved to be the only challenging part for the champion racehorse. The Kentucky-bred speedster was a force to behold at the race, as no other racehorse could match its speed. The crowd marveled at the sheer dominance of Five Star General; the result was evident before everyone’s eyes even before half of the race was finished.

The proud son of Distorted Humor did not meet a match as it trampled over all its opponents. It made easy work of the Longacres Mile Glory, which is revered as the signature race of the Pacific Northwest. Five Star General left everyone behind and earned a win by 1 ½ lengths. The success comes as a special gift for the owner and trainer of the equestrian racehorse. Apparently, the family of the owner, Ken Alhadeff of Elttaes Stable, once owned the Longacres racetrack. Moreover, the trainer of Five Star General, Grant Foster, spent his early days on the backstretches of Washington and British Columbia ovals. The victory also holds great significance for the racehorse who could not win the race the previous three times it participated.

The odds of victory for the Kentucky-bred racehorse seemed strong. It had consistently finished in the top two positions in its previous three races. However, it’s important to note that Five Star General was not with its current equestrian team. This victory became even sweeter as all stakeholders combined their efforts to win an event that held significance for each of them in their own ways.
