Olympian Jessica Springsteen, who started her equestrian career at age 17, hasn’t taken a moment’s breath from competing. Starting her junior year by winning the 2008 ASPCA Maclay Finals, the 33-year-old has climbed a steady ladder. Be it the Olympics, Grand Prix, or standard show, Jessica Springsteen has announced her presence, keeping up the momentum. This year, the season entailed no difference.
It was an eventful year for Jessica Springsteen, filled with contests and wins. London LGCT, Nations Cup Finals, Super Grand Prix, and more framed the equestrian’s record. Picking among the lot for the year-end reminiscing, the equestrian’s Lyon performance made its rounds on the internet. With the throwback clip came the applause.

Jessica Springsteen and Tommy Hilfiger joined hands back in 2022 for the brand’s The Equestrian Family line. Ever since, with Springsteen’s continued success, the brand has lingered around to celebrate. Today, once again, as sports photographer Thomas Reiner took to share Jessica’s Lyon 2023 moment, Tommy Hilfiger joined in for a collaborative post. “Jessica Springsteen and Don Juan Van De Donkhoeve flying in Style over the fences at the Equita Lyon 2023,” the caption read, accompanying a clip of the equestrian in action.

The Equita Lyon 2023 was held back in November’s first week at Eurexpo Lyon. Jessica rode Don Juan van de Donkhoeve on November 5, and Naomi van het Keizershof Grey on the 3rd. The latter of the combination finished 5th in the 5* 1.50 opening class, clocking the time at 31.58. While Don Juan and Springsteen earned a perfect clear round with 67.67 on the clock, a glimpse of the duo on the grounds brought about a cheer from the community.

Going over the clip, spectators and the equestrian fans couldn’t help but share their admiration. Among the hundreds of clapping hands, “ESPECTACULAR…que buen recuerdo,” (translating to SPECTACULAR… what a great memory.). It was further followed by a compliment for Don Juan. “So obsessed with DJVDD. Gorgeous rider too,” the user wrote.
While rising equestrian, Grace Wahlberg’s mother, Rhea cheered on with two fire emojis, another comment read, “What a pair!!” As the hearts filled the comments, one wrote, “Nothing but air,” adding a heart and another summed up the clip writing, “Stunning!”

Jessica Springsteen’s further calendar was scheduled to include the Super Grand Prix at LGCT Prague Playoffs, the Sweden Horse International Show, Verona, and finally Chi Geneve. Now putting the spectacular year behind, Olympics 2024 remains the next goal for the silver medalist.
