The first week of the 2023 edition of Desert Holiday 1 kicked off on November 28, 2023, at the Desert International House Park in Thermal, California. Following the Coachella Cup, the FEI classes of the series saw a showdown in the CAD 76,000 Pomponio Ranch 1.50m Qualifier, and then the enthralling $39,000 FarmVet Speed CSI 2.

Forty-nine entries in the $39,000 FarmVet Speed CSI 2 took the field to display their immense talent. And amongst them was Nayel Nassar, Bill Gates’ son-in-law and husband of the well-known equestrian Jennifer Gates, who turned heads at the series in spectacular style, leaving 31 thousand fans in awe.

In the latest update from Evergate Stables, owned by the esteemed Jennifer Gates, Nayel Nassar treated his Instagram followers to a thrilling glimpse. The post’s caption read, “@nayelnassar getting warmed up for a week in the desert🌵” Nayel Nassar was pictured atop the white gelding horse El Conde as the duo took the FarmVet Speed CSI 2 by storm.

Conor Swail, aboard Fasole du Seigneur, took home the winning spot with a time of 59.97. Amanda Derbyshire with Cornwall BH came in second with a time of 60.98. And Egyptian show jumper Nayel Nassar, son-in-law of Bill Gates, atop El Conde, came in third with a time of 62.71. The post caused a frenzy on the internet as fans were thrilled to see Nassar cause a desert storm.

Nayel Nassar sparks a stir online

The post quickly garnered attention online thanks to Evergate Stables’ 31 thousand fans, who were left in awe. One fan commented, “Just getting started,” with a fire emoji, excited to see Nayel Nassar kick off the FEI classes in style. Another wrote, “Let’s go squadddd,” expressing excitement at witnessing Nassar showcase his exceptional skills.
