The post further highlighted the lineup of 2023’s Top G1 Jockey’s which looked like—Ryan Moore(19), Irad Ortiz Jr.(15), James McDonald(13), Flavien Prat(12), Frankie Dettori(10), Francisco Goncalves(9), Joao Moreira(9), Junior Alvarado(8), Richard Fourie(8). On Friday night, December 8, Moore won the title of 2023 Best Jockey. Interestingly, Moore was the inaugural recipient in 2014 and maintained his leadership in 2016 and 2021.
In the upcoming G1, Arima Kinen, Moore will be paired with the gifted Tastiera, this year’s Derby winner—an update that sent the racing world into a frenzy. Amidst all the excitement, it was disclosed that Moore is diligently recuperating in the UK despite suffering an injury during a race on the 19th. The plan is for him to return to Japan, while Tastiera resumed training on the 25th, showcasing Moore’s unwavering commitment to the sport.
