A seemingly formidable 42 titles winning equestrian trainer has resurfaced to tackle another plausible success. Or rather, he was a celebrated equestrian trainer. Horses he trained posted 740-554-433 numbers from 3,117 starts all throughout his career. Those statistics are very much a thing of the past. Now, he has taken on an entirely new challenge, but in the same discipline in more ways than one.
After almost a sea change career-wise, Ron Faucheux, former trainer, is now an agent. He is on the lookout for a second equestrian rider he can represent. After casting a wide net that traversed the breadth of the Atlantic Ocean and then some, he finally landed a fine specimen of a rider. The one he will represent is a relative unknown in the United States. Simultaneously, he has built up quite a reputation on British shores.

As per the Paulick Report, Ron Faucheux has landed equestrian jockey Ben Curtis as a client. The Irish-American, whose father hails from Arkansas, has won over 1,000 races spanning multiple countries and course types. He will be an unknown quantity on American soil though, owing to him having spent the majority of his career in England. Regardless, he has proved himself as adept at the all-weather races in Ireland. He joins Venezuelan rider Jose Luis Rodriguez as Faucheux’s client. Faucheux spoke of him, “He’s really excited–it’s something that he has always wanted to do. When we talk, I can tell he’s fired up and his fire has got me excited.”
Rodriguez initially rode in his homeland, following in his father El Pumita’s footsteps. Afterward, he moved to Panama and made a name for himself in equestrian sport. He was Ron Faucheux’s first client, getting represented by the Louisiana native not long after he made the career switch. Incidentally, Rodriguez made a stir after finishing sixth in the standings in just his first meet on American soil. Faucheux said of him, “I think he’s got the talent to repeat that kind of success, but it’s up to me to accomplish that.” He finished with 35 wins last meet.

Ron Faucheux’s equestrian stable in good hands following the change
Chris Rosier, a veteran closing in on 1,000 wins, is also reportedly on Ron Faucheux’s books. Faucheux’s previous stable of equines will now fall under David Terre’s watchful eye. Terre remained winless following his first 34 races. In the next 45, he won 10. Though the stable has around 20 thoroughbreds, it still boasts stakes winners like All Night Moonlight, Kyle Beauty, Not On Herb, and Bertie’s Galaxy.

Ben Curtis’ impending move to American shores has his agent, Ron Faucheux, excited. He won his last three events as a trainer at the Fair Grounds. Faucheux intends to keep Rosier at Delta Downs over the Winter. Rodriguez and Curtis will be kept at Fair Grounds, simultaneously. Faucheux will look to add more accolades to his trophy cabinet, but from a slightly different standpoint.
