On the 28th of November, the world came to a standstill to receive the saddening news of Charlie Munger’s demise. As respect flowed in for the 99-year-old, Simonson stood no behind in extending his condolences. “A personal hero of mine passed away today,” Christian wrote sharing an image of Munger on his Instagram story. He further revealed, “I have read almost every biography and article on Charlie and always hoped to meet him one day. An incredible philosopher. RIP Charlie Munger.” 

Christian also picked one of Charlie’s quotes to share with his community. “You only get a few opportunities, and you have to grab them aggressively when they come because even in the most favored life, they’re really rare.” Throughout his life, Munger ensured to back his very stance and shed excellence on every path he walked.

The above moniker suits this business magnate. The renowned American investor was also popular for playing a pivotal role in building the conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway. “Berkshire Hathaway could not have been built to its present status without Charlie’s inspiration, wisdom, and participation,” business partner, and chairman, Warren Buffet said according to Economic Times. The duo hold a friendship dating back to 1959. Along the way, Munger helped Warren with his investment decisions and further worked on bringing Berkshire Hathaway collectively. However, Munger made varied use of the outcomes.

According to reports, the investment genius sold or donated more than 75% of his Berkshire stock over the years. His help extended to education, science, medicine, and journalism. The act effectively pushed him to own a net worth of $2.5 billion before his demise; coming to be known as one of the most influential and successful investors. “I’m deliberately taking my net worth down,” he told The Omaha World-Herald in 2013; notes Business Insider. “My thinking is, I’m not immortal,” he continued, “and I won’t need it where I’m going.” His legacy is going to remain unmatched.
