On Thursday, the 28th, the San Diego Sherrif’s County Department reported that Tatyana pleaded guilty to her charges. Admission to charges of solicitation to commit murder and carrying an unregistered gun was provided in exchange for 3 years and an 8-month sentence in state prison. According to the Sherriff’s Department, the 42-year-old also described her idea and process of having Mark killed and disposed of during a meeting.

The news arrived following the equestrian’s arrest in August for taking out a $2m hit on her husband Mark. A tip, an undercover detective, and speculations from her husband led to the initial arrest of the equestrian. Remley had previously pled not guilty to the charges, thus being held in a detention facility since her arrest. As per reports, the actions stemmed from the couple’s bitter divorce early in July last year.

Events leading to the case

On July 11th, the couple filed for divorce following a sour marriage. Involvement of weapons and money has seemingly formed the equestrian couple’s separation reasoning. The duo had adorned a lavish lifestyle with a $5 million mansion, designer wear, and high-end sports cars. “Wife is experiencing extreme financial strain… She has no income and does not have the same access to funds and assets that Respondent does,”  Tatyana’s attorney, wrote in the July filing; reports Independent. co.

Reportedly, the separation and loss of wealth thus formed a cause for the 42-year-old’s actions towards her husband. Mark’s initial accusations pointed at the equestrian’s attempt to set their home on fire. Following up, he further stated that Tatyana had offered their mutual friend $2 million to get Mark killed which was admitted by Tatyana. The judiciary decision on Tatyana entailed less than 4 years in jail and a drop on a gun-related charge.
