Bill Gates’ equestrian daughter Jennifer Gates has stood against all motherhood odds to return to the competition. But she could live her dreams more with the backing of her fellow showjumper and husband, Nayel Nassar. In the recent Major League Show Jumping event, Nassar and his beloved Coronado had their stellar attributes on display. But the cheers are still incoming after a week.

Jenn is sailing through parenthood, equestrianism, medical career and everything beyond, with her husband. While he made his winning strides on the familiar grounds of Desert International Horse Park, Jennifer Gates galloped in her respective contest aboard her equine Paris as well. Now, after a week of the MLSJ joyride, the billionaire daughter has a note of acknowledgement.

Resorting to her Instagram, the 27-year-old celebrated her back-to-the sport moment with a carousel of photos. Captioned as “west coast with Paris (Donvier), @evergatestables crew, friends and family”, the post stood as a testament to Jenn’s feeling of gratitude. Aboard the beautiful 14-year-old gelding Coronado, when Mr. Nassar bested his competitors, his wife accoladed with “winners”.

She also acknowledged her beloved equine Donvier, who had stolen her heart since its entry at the Evergate Stables. In September, the 27-year-old showjumper returned to the tracks after a hiatus. In the meantime, she has managed her mommy chores and completed her graduation in medical studies. After a year-long break due to her parents’ divorce, she had drawn curtains of her Icahn School journey in 2022. And in May, 2023, she graduated with her MD from Columbia University.

After setting the seal on her MD journey, she still wishes to keep her med studies going. As of now, the star daughter is competing during the weekends, and her medical journey has transitioned to the training period. But the MLSJ weekend held more importance to her, as it was like a homecoming for her husband.

The west coast is close to Nassar’s heart

With 79.83 as the final score, the human-equine duo shifted Amy Millar to the second at the 5* event. After the win, Nassar had shed light on his personal experiences, saying, “I went to school on the West Coast and I rode here a lot. I won the million-dollar Grand Prix when they were out here. The beginning of my professional career started at this horse park. Winning is the best confidence booster.”
