The equestrian world has witnessed multiple events which have created a flow of excitement among the enthusiasts. One such event just ended on the 15th of October 2023. The Dover Saddlery/USEF Hunter Seat Medal Final has come to an end and its result has been out. The enthusiasts were on their toes to get the results and now the time has finally come. The Dover Saddlery/USEF Hunter Seat Medal Final event includes several rounds and each of them are judged on equitation over a course at 3’6″.
All the riders here compete in the first round and then the top riders selected here are shifted to the second round. This event is under the American Horse Shows Association (ASHA) Equitation medal which was established in 1937. In the 2023 medal final, after some of the terrific races, the results have been announced after a thrilling race on Sunday.

The Dover Saddler/USEF Hunter Seat Medal Final was the premier class on the 15th of October 2023b at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show. Here, around 208 junior competitors competed in the first round over Alan Lohman’s course. The judges in this competition were Jack Towell and Timmy Kees. After the completion of the first round, the top 25 athletes were taken to the next round over a new course. Among these, the top six were taken to the final round.

The finals is a key equitation competition that goes way back to 1948 and is one of the major reasons behind the buildup of top-notch riders. In this year finals Carlee McCutcheon and her equine Chacco Star has won the 2023 Dover Saddlery/USEF Hunter Seat Medal Final Title. On the second position is Noah Nelson with a silver medal and on the third is Kate Hagerty with a bronze medal. This competition has a fine history with multiple big equestrians involved with it.

The AHSA was established in 1937 by its fourth president named Adrian Van Sinderen. He kept this as a part of his planning to connect equestrian enthusiasts from all over the United States. The original Van Sinderen trophy was awarded to the Junior Equitation rider who amassed the most points in the AHSA Medal classes. This competition is one of the most authentic ones with the right set of rules and a vision of future development for the participants.
