With the end of the 2023 Longines Global Champions Tour season in Prague back in November, anticipation is looming over the 2024 equestrian meets. Every year, up to 15 rounds of competition are held worldwide as part of the premier individual show jumping series(LGCT). Its prestige is noted by the top 30 riders in the FEI Jumping World Rankings in attendance. However, just days after the calendar release, man’s best friend took center stage. A positive update was posted on social media from the LGCT venue while the much-anticipated tour was in progress.

The equestrian world gives way for fur babies to shine

If you’re a dog lover, @longinesglobalchampionstour posted an Instagram post with colorful and mood-enhancing photos to uplift your spirits. A total of four photographs of gorgeous pet dogs were posted, showing them jumping on the ground with enormous strides in place of the horses. The unusual sight was captioned, “Not the usual action shot.”

Dog lovers showered the pictures with adoration, with one commenting, “The second dog knows what he’s doing.” Another person said, “My dog would love something like this,” implying that there ought to be more enjoyable things to do for our four-legged friends. It’s undeniable that the equestrian world includes more than just horses; it’s a varied and inclusive place that accepts all types of four-legged pals. This is especially true when the committee draws a connection between the lovely photos and the approaching LGCT season in earlier updates.

Update on the 2024 LGCT tour schedule

The announcement of the Longines Global Champions Tour for 2024 had the catchphrase, “Want to experience this feeling?” The tour schedule for the GCL Season and the 2024 Longines Global Champions Tour was revealed in the post. The update noted that LGCT – Doha 2024 will open the series on February 29 and go until March 2.
