It is a great feeling when someone talented gets back to the field after a bad phase. Similarly, one of the most talented horses from the equestrian community Lightening Larry is a 4-year-old Colt and has been on the track from 2021 to 2023. Trained by Jorge Delgado, Larry who ran his stakes win streak to three with a half-length victory over fellow Grade 3 winner has come back to pace at Monmouth Park after he was vanned for treatment reasons.
Larry has been trying to be back at the winner’s circle each day. He was taken off the field to a horse van and now he has come back in a stable condition. His trainer was a little concerned when he was being vanned but the vets confirmed that it was just for some precautionary measures.

One of the best horses in the equestrian world has been back after he was taken away for precautionary measures. His trainer Jorge has conveyed he is “doing fine.” Larry was getting back to the winner’s circle following the De Francis and at that very moment, Daniel Centeno paused and dismounted in the upper stretch. The 4-year-old little one stood patiently while he was hosed off and he went silently into the waiting horse van to be taken off the track.
After this, according to Larry’s trainer, he has come back in good shape. It is very obvious that every trainer would be concerned about that situation, similarly, Jorge was concerned too but the entire thing was for some basic measures. According to Paulick Report, he expressed, “He came back last night. I saw him walking this morning and we checked him with the vet and he’s doing fine. He will be all right, so that was a big relief.” All of them in the equestrian field are happy to have him back.
