The world?s most accomplished Dressage competitor is surprisingly Christian Simonson; however, he is also an accomplished multi-skilled personality. He has a brilliant academic background as he received a student pilot?s license at 15 and enjoys other pursuits such as mountain biking, downhill skiing, PADI OW scuba diving certificate and many more. Holding American-Dutch dual citizenship means a better chance for international dressage in future. Partnering with the Danish warmblood Son of a Lady got them the Small Tour Champions trophy during the 2023 US dressage championships, which was hosted in Wayne, ILL ? Lamplight Equestrian Center.
In the year 2016, he won a gold team medal and a silver individual medal at the Adequan/FEI North America youth championship. Thereafter, the next year he got another silver individual medal at Adequan/FEI NAYC. He added another title to his accolade as he earned the USDF Bronze and Silver medals.? However, recently, he narrated his equestrian journey that touched everyone?s hearts and fascinated so many fans worldwide.

Recently, Christian posted an inspirational video on Instagram that begins with him riding a horse. The caption in the video reads as, “11 years ago, I thought I’d give this dressage thing a try...”.The video further features his journey from his individual victories as well as team victories. His caption alongside the video was heartfelt, mentioning, “All made possible by an amazing team and some really special horses.”

Christian Simson embarked on his equine venture when he was only six years old and this was the beginning of his riding life. At the age of 13, he was participating in national dressage shows. He made his way up the ladder until he started participating in FEI in 2016 which marked the beginning of a brilliant youth career showcasing perseverance and skill within the equestrian discipline.

Simonson’s rising ?equestrian star
The journey of Simonson in the competitive dressage has been a case for wonder. His great performance at the FEI North American Youth Championships includes team gold and individual silver with Herzkonig in 2017, team silver with FRH Rassolini in 2018, and triple gold in the team, individual, and freestyle categories Zeaball Diawind in 2021. His success continued as he emerged victorious at the US Dressage Festivals of Champions, Horseware Ireland/USEF Young Rider Dressage National Championship on ball Diawind.

Besides, he has also made a strong impact internationally participating in competitions such as Future Champions CDIY in Hagen, Germany where he contributed to team bronze in 2021 on Zeaball Diawind and another three years later in 2023 with Son of a Lady, respectively. In 2023 he stepped into the senior division and made his debut at FEI Dressage Nations Cup USA where they won the team gold
