In a spectacular event held from October 5 to 8, 2023, at the renowned Greenwich Polo Club in Greenwich, Connecticut, CSI Greenwich showcased elite show jumping at its finest. This year, the event proudly earned the CSI 5 designation in addition to CSI 2 divisions, expanding from its humble beginnings as a one-day competition. Moreover, CSI Greenwich took center stage by hosting the Major League Show Jumping team competition on Friday and the Grand Prix CSI 2 on Saturday, making it a four-day event.

Jennifer Gates, daughter of billionaire Bill Gates married to Egyptian-American equestrian Nayel Nassar in 2021. Nayel Nassar, an accomplished equestrian jumper has reached the finals of both the FEI World Cup and the FEI World Equestrian Games. Recently he also participated in this event showcasing his talent as a remarkable equestrian.

This post marked the culmination of a remarkable event where premier U.S. and international world-level equestrians gathered at the Greenwich Polo Club to compete in a thrilling stadium jumping competition. Despite relentless rain that persisted for four days and a Greenwich area inundated with 8 inches of rain, leading to localized flooding in the week. The Trelawny Trailblazers, featuring Daniel Bluman (ISR), Conor Swail (IRL), and Nayel Nassar (EGY), emerged victorious, defying the adverse conditions to secure another podium finish and maintaining their commanding 23-point lead in the standings. However,? Nassar and Gates keep supporting each other throughout their career.

Equestrian passion

Nayel Nassar, a seasoned equestrian with an impressive resume that includes participation in the Tokyo Olympics, embarked on his equestrian journey at the age of 5. Remarkably, Nassar is the only equestrian to simultaneously conquer both the Longines Speed Challenge and the Longines Grand Prix.

Jennifer Gates shares an equal fervor for equestrian pursuits and embarked on her horseback riding journey at the age of 6. In a 2019 interview with CNN’s equestrian show, she expressed, “Horses are just one part of our life, but we love the sport.” She continued, “He?s a professional, and I do this as an amateur. So, to be able to share our love and passion for horses with each other is just incredible.”
