A video widely circulating on the internet shows a woman executing a dangerous stunt so impeccably, it’s almost impossible to believe. The video was posted on YouTube by a channel called “Horse Racing”, and has got 9.7 million views till now. The horses in the video are not stationary, rather, they slowly gallop along a road. However, their gait has no effect on the woman’s equilibrium. She holds the reins of her two equine friends as she balances herself on their backs, perfectly in control. This particular stunt is evidence of her seamless symbiosis with the horses, as her command over her mounts is exemplary.

The horses are equal candidates for praise. The clip shows them walking in perfect harmony with one another, matching their counterpart step by step. This stunt is unusual, for sure, and similar to some other equestrian sports that are lesser known and equally peculiar.

Unheard-of equestrian sports that are surprising

Jigiting, also known as Trick-riding, is an equestrian sport that justifies its name to the fullest. The sport involves riders performing tricks, literally, while on the backs of horses. The sport originated in the Caucasus and Central Asia and is part of the Turkic and Russian Cossack cultures. As the riders perform acrobatic stunts, it is no surprise that this is one of the most dangerous sports in the world. The next one is stranger than this one, if that was even possible. Horseboarding is wakeboarding, but on land and with horses.

The sport involves a horse and two riders, one on top of the horse and the other riding a mountain board. Horse boarding has a dedicated national championship to its name, the National Horseboarding Championship, which began in 2013 and since then, is held every year towards the end of summer in the United Kingdom. Horseball and Horsearchery also make the list. The former is a mixture of polo, basketball, and rugby and the latter traces its origins back to the iron age.
