According to the Horse and Hound, with her physical issues, she has also faced mental problems as well. She has received multiple comments about her while she was suffering from her physical disabilities, which made her think that she did not want to do it anymore. However, she changed her fate by not giving up on herself and her dreams. She went through an operation to fit a colostomy bag and was not doing very well earlier this year but lately her life has improved a lot lately.
She took her first step by competing at the Bolesworth International Horse Show in June, and at the London leg of the GCT. Sharpe expressed, “London was a bit of an accident!” After this, her life took a U-turn as she jumped on the Global Champions Tour and then was shortlisted for the inspiration category at the 2023 FEI Awards.

It requires a lot of willpower to get back on a rapid career after facing a difficult time, but Sharpe did not let the equestrian in her die. She stated, “There had been a few moments, about how I was too fat to ride, and wasn’t good enough. Everything got on top of me, and I thought I don’t want to do this any more.”
But these situations did not define her worth, she went to London and jumped the 10-year-old Extreem Forest in the CSI*2 classes and she cannot wait to go back. In this situation, Jennie expressed, “Everyone was clapping, and I was crying, the stands rattled, he spooked and spun and I plopped off. I got up and bowed, and everyone cheered.” She was nominated for the Pivo Inspire title at the FEI Awards and with a dedication like her, it is absolutely safe to say, that she deserved every bit of it.
