With over 38 start points and three race wins under his belt, trainer John Brown started this year strong. The trainer, who’s worth over $2,027,949  makes most of his money in the arenas of Ohio. However, now the trainer cannot run his horses for about two years in the arenas of Ohio.

Last month, John Brown was suspended by the horse welfare unit after his horse tested positive for isoxsuprine. And amid the ban from his money-making state, the trainer, after almost a month, was seen with one of his horses in the arenas of West Virginia.

On June 28th, trainer John Brown was suspended by the Horse Racing Integrity and Welfare Unit for 18 months. The trainer was found guilty of injecting isoxsuprine into one of his horses and had to pay a whopping $12,500 fine. Although the unit has not officially given a statement about it, According to drf news in a presentation by Dr. May Scollay, the chief of science at HIWU stated, “possession of isoxsuprine constitutes a banned substance.”

Following this decision of the HIWU, John Brown was seen in the West Virginia Arena. Brown, with one of his horses, Manhattan Lady, was located running at Mountaineer Racetrack Casino and Resort on Wednesday, July 26th. The horse ran in the fourth race of the day and finished it withholding the second position. The trainer, who usually runs in the arenas of Ohio, was seen for the first time running since the suspension handed out on June 28 after injecting his horse Rollin On  Tequila, The eight-year-old horse who was also banned for two months.

All you need to know about Rollin On Tequila

On May 31st, John Brown’s horse Rollin On Tequila, after finishing the Thistledown race in sixth position, tested positive for the drug Isoxsuprine. Isoxsuprine is a vasodilator drug used in horses to treat laminitis by relaxing the smooth muscles. The eight-year-old horse was immediately disqualified from the event and was also handed a 60-day ban on May 31. Rollin On Tequila also had to surrender all its prizes, ranking, points, trophies, and purse money.

Currently, Rollin On Tequila has no contact with John Brown. However, according to the sources, the authorities can’t stop the trainer from running his horses on the tracks of West Virginia or even Texas, as due to ongoing legal battles, the HIWU jurisdiction is not valid in these states.
