The equestrian community is never behind in helping others and sharing their grief. A fire that broke out in the Blue Springs Farm’s barn took the lives of 26 horses. The fire has also left the farm owners and the community in shock and sadness. Now, the Cherokee County equestrian community is contributing through various means to help the local farm recover its losses. In that connection, a young girl’s noble gesture got praised by the community. The girl named Piper Martin attended a riding lesson at the barn just a few hours before the fire.

After she came to know about the incident she decided to help and asked her mother to donate her piggy bank to Miss Marcy Blue the owner and trainer of the farm. Piper’s mother’s heart melted at her daughter’s sweet gesture and pondered on a way to raise more funds. Piper came up with the idea of a lemonade fundraiser campaign. She is now actively pursuing the campaign with the proceeds of it will directly go to the owner of the farm. Speaking on her fundraising campaign Piper said that there were more than one hundred people coming and she has managed to raise thousand or a million.

The community has also raised funds through GoFundMe where they have managed to raise more than $50,000 out of their $70,000 target. Other businesses also came forward and set up bins at stores to receive donations and transfer to later to the farm. The fire at the farm had a grave impact on the farm owner, horse owners, and the community at large from which they are trying to recover.
