Jeff Fa Fa is an equestrian marvel. He is enjoying a stellar 2023. From 7 starts, he has posted a 5-2-0 record. Overall, from 13 starts, he has a 5-4-2 record. He won the last four of his races in succession. Most recently, he won the Red Diamond Express Handicap at Century Downs. Along the way, he set a track record for 6 ½ furlongs in 1:15.26. Following that start, Pierre Esquirol, his owner, opted to send him to the US.

Jeff Fa Fa is an Alberta-bred horse. He is the four-year-old gelding sired by Competitive Edge and Alamanda Drive by Awesome Again. Initially trained by Wendy Anderson, his owner has now transferred the chestnut equine to Rob Atras. Atras is a multiple Graded Stakes winning trainer. He has 1,798 starts with a 377-314-265 record to his name as a trainer.

As per the report of Bloodhorse.com, Jeff Fa Fa will participate in the Bold Ruler Stakes (G3) on October 27 at Belmont at Aqueduct. He will be ridden by Kendrick Carmouche once more. That will make for his first start on American soil. He will race for six furlongs with eight other horses, much tougher competition than he has had occasion to face up to this point. One of them is Durante, sired by Distorted Humor and Seahawk Girl.

Durante saw his four-win streak end at Belmont at Aqueduct on October 14. That, too, was a race six furlongs long. He finished second behind Cowan, who will also race on October 27. Another horse Jeff Fa Fa will face is Honey Oak. Honey Oak, too, has prior experience on the same track. On that occasion, in the Vosburgh Stakes, he finished fifth at the end of a seven-furlong race.
