The equestrian sport stands out from the rest in the industry due to its ability to communicate and involve the magnificent creatures. The strength and stature the animals carry shine upon the sport. However, just as tough as they appear, horses frequently soften to humans. Despite their role and presence, the creatures are obliged to succumb to unkind situations, involving negligence and mistreatment.
With each passing day, the number of reports reaches a new high; forgoing the efforts put in by the welfare organizations. Abandonment or mistreatment, the cases don’t cease to exist. Now adding to the list, a case reports the mishandling of an equine. Following the facts of the situation, the equestrian community has risen to voice in its concerns.

On the 8th of October, the New Mexico For Equine Rights & Open Government took to Facebook to report a mishandling case in the state. According to the contents of the post, a young untrained equine was roped in and handled hastily. The page claimed that, according to the footage on the bodycam, the equine could have been easily injured.
“There was the opportunity to load mares first, hay, narrow his enclosure, use pressure & coaxing to load.” The page further added, “There are ways to load wild, or untrained domestic horses without the barbaric act of roping.”
The organization suggested that the authorities involved contact the team who could lend them videos on the methods to handle.
The scenes mentioned in the post proved to be disturbing and unpleasant. Following the incident, the organization also remarked that they would be changing this in the legislature so that there is visible accountability. The post was just as strong verbally as it was with the images. The detailed expression thus evoked a strong response from the spectators online.

What is wrong with these people? Do the job without a care for these animals? Stop the roundups” one of the users commented while the others expressed remorse saying, “So wrong.” followed by “Just a baby.”
There were others who questioned and stood up against the people at work. One of them read, “Inexcusable.” While another declared, “Working at a livestock auction should NOT qualify anyone to meet the standards for a livestock inspector position!!!”
