In the year 2018, the snowboarding world was introduced to a young star. 4 years ago, 17-year-old Chloe Kim took the gold medal in the halfpipe event and script history becoming the youngest female snowboarder to win gold.

“Just let me vibe”: Chloe Kim
Notably, Chloe Kim isn’t willing to give in to anyone’s expectations and will only be performing for herself. Even as she goes for gold, there is so much more at stake.
Kim has requested her fans not to expect too much from her and just let her ‘vibe’. She knows she has to give her best, and a load of expectations won’t help her do that.
“Don’t have too many expectations,” said Kim. “Just let me vibe. I’m just trying to chill.”
Clearly, the athlete means business. With the extreme amount of pressure that athletes face, it could be dangerous for her if she gives in to such pressure.
“No, I’m just kidding. You just expect a lot out of me. I’m going to go off,” she added.
