Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy is one of the biggest pizza lovers. He never shies away from offering insights after relishing every bite of pizza from various outlets. Recently, Dave Portnoy was named a sommelier of pizza’ by Joe Rogan on a podcast. Rogan’s description of Dave’s pizza analysis left even Elon Musk shocked.
After sharing his thoughts about Mike’s Pie Pizza, this time Dave Portnoy’s pizza reviews took him to Charlestown in Boston, Massachusetts. He stopped by Brewster’s Fort and shared his detailed opinion like a true pizza connoisseur.

After visiting Brewster’s Fork pizza parlor, Dave Portnoy took to his official X account to share a review about this great pizza. After enjoying a hot, tempting pizza bite, El Presidente, Portnoy said, ‘’I don’t know what kind of pizza I’d say. It almost looks like personal style. Is it Neapolitan? No. Is it’’. Another customer got involved at that location and said “It is Wood fired’’. Dave went on to detail and stated ‘’Woodfired and Neapolitan I’d say are first cousins. They’re super thin, and both of them are super floppy generally.”

Apart from that, Dave Portnoy also explained that such pizzas are not as crisp as he likes. So it’s not always his favorite style. He also elaborated on the one-bite rule, which is “A pizza pie should be super fresh and have great ingredients”. However, Dave rated the whole pie 6.8 out of 10, but further, he observed that it could even score as high as 7.3. Previously, he had rated pizza from Mike’s Pie, giving it a solid 8.4 out of 10, but added it could even score as high as 9.1. However, Dave loved Brewster’s Fork and stated, ”Great spot to drink, hang out, great neighborhood. There’s our view.”

Portnoy explores historic sips
Apart from reviewing the Brewer’s Fork Pizza, Portnoy stopped by a family-owned 135-year-old liquor store. The liquor store was established in 1888 by McCartney Brothers. Dave also got a click with the liquor bar owners at the front of the great spot.

A few days back, Dave went on to try a new pizza outlet in Massachusetts, Joani’s in Chelmsford. He had added about it, “Not good…not bad…It’s spectacular.” Portnoy’s reviews always help the fans to source out the places to visit if they are craving a bite of delicious pizza.
