Can Bradley Wiggins ever regain his hero status, or is his legacy permanently tarnished?

‘Once known as the pride of Britain on two wheels, now on the pedestal of life. Bradley Wiggins’ whose name is etched in the alleys of cycling history. In his outstanding Olympic career, he took over five gold medals, including a historic victory in the 2012 Tour de France. In 2013, he was considered a national hero due to his contributions. But, this is no longer solely about victory. The celebrated cyclist’s fortunes have succumbed to negative, with a racking debt of £2M and a tarnished public image due to a doping scandal. 

From Olympic champion to financial woes, Wiggins’ life has been running in circles. Nevertheless, it didn’t last long. Fast forward to 2016, which marked his retirement. Wiggins has faced numerous boulders in recreating the success he once owned. All other ventures, be it the media or brand endorsements, have not matched the finances he has raised earlier. Ultimately, Wiggins revealed that he is facing significant troubles monetarily, his debt climbing to £2M. To make matters worse, Wiggins’ decision to sell the rights to his name reflects the financial desperation this once-untouchable icon is facing.

Can a fallen hero reclaim his legacy?
