Cycling legend Lance Armstrong, who has won the coveted Tour de France seven times, once bullied his triathlon coach Rick Crawford. Crawford once opened up about the same in an interview and it’s quite shocking! Crawford shared his experience with Armstrong’s bullying nature.

Notably, Lance Armstrong won his seven Tour de France titles consecutively between 1999 to 2005. Having won a record number of titles, Lance is one of the best cyclists of all time. However, his career went down a completely unexpected path after the doping allegations.
Lance Armstrong was a bully as per his coach!
Armstrong’s erstwhile triathlon coach Rick Crawford once shared how he was bullied by Armstrong while the cycling legend was still a kid. Talking about the disrespect that he suffered at the hands of Armstrong; he opened up about a trip that they took to Bermuda for a triathlon.

“He saw bully issues in Armstrong’s character from day one as a teenager.” Crawford rented a scooter for Armstrong while in Bermuda. Going forward, Crawford said, “Armstrong abused the scooter, didn’t return it when he should have and disregarded his concerns about it,” Crawford said in 2020.
He also shared that when he told about this incident to Armstrong’s mother, saying, “he’s mouthy and disrespectful.” She replied, “he didn’t have any authority over him.” Crawford said, “That stung a lot.”

Armstrong had an interest in politics!
During the early 2000s, Armstrong had a strong interest in politics. His friendship with former president George W. Bush has always made headlines. He even hinted at running for the governor of Texas. Apparently, his friendship with the president had made some people believe Armstrong would enter politics, but that didn’t happen. Later, he announced he had changed his mind about politics.

It was shocking to get an insight into Crawford’s experience. His revelations about Armstrong’s nature even during his childhood were surprising. It would be interesting to get more information about his experiences with Armstrong as his coach.
