While the entire world was locked inside their homes because of Covid-19 back in 2020, the world chess champion, Magnus Carlsen, was using his wit to humor everyone. He took a dig at Milwaukee Bucks’ superstar, Giannis Antetokounmpo after the latter posted a photo of him and his girlfriend playing chess at home.
Carlsen commented on his photo, “Chess is tough, it takes skill, you can’t just be 7 feet and dunk over everybody.”?
Giannis was killing time
Giannis has always been a chess fan and during the lockdown, he wanted to challenge his mental ability. He said, ?I?m like, ?The only reason I?m playing chess right now is to get my mind off basketball.? So, I?m still thinking about basketball! So, I?m getting ready to make a move and I?m like, ?Ahhh, s?!’ I?m thinking about basketball again.”

Magnus loves banters
The World No. 1 chess player often takes such cheeky digs at his fellow competitors. However, passing comments on a basketball player is new to him. The fans weren’t able to witness more action because Giannis didn’t respond to the tweet by Magnus; however, he did thank Garry Kasparov for his kind offer to help.
