Following the cheating allegations by the former chess champion Magnus Carlsen, an investigation was started against Hans Niemann. As the investigation continues, the gripping tale has caught the chess community’s and the public’s attention. Based on the allegations, the officials of Chess.com have now released a 72-page report.

The said report details the investigation of the case, noting that 100 instances have been found wherein the 19-year-old was capable of cheating.
What does Hans have to say about it?
Since the allegations, the teen chess player has denied the claims. For the unversed, Hans defeated Carlsen last month in an over-the-board game at the Sinquefield. The young player subsequently made the headlines as his fellow players accused him of using anal beads to cheat.
Though he denied the allegations, he, however, admitted that he had resorted to unfair means, but only twice. However, according to the reports, it is speculated that Niemann has indulged in unfair means to win in more than 100 games. The website that has prepared the report uses various cheating detection tools that, with the help of analytics, effectively compare the human moves to the automated chess engine moves.

The realized reports state that the young chess player has privately confessed to using slack messages as a mode of cheating. Commenting on the same, Magnus

In an official statement released by Magnus since the report’s release, the former champion spoke at great length. He said, “I had the impression that he wasn’t tense or fully concentrating on the game in critical positions.” For the record, Magnus here is speaking about the Sinquefield Cup.
Though the official confirmation is yet to come whether or not Niemann had cheated during in-person (over-the-board) tournaments. The association also promised to cooperate with FIDE to make the investigation smoother. For the unversed, the FIDE is the chess governing body. They, too, have their investigation going concerning the Carlsen-Niemann affair.
