As the Paycom Arena clears the way for the Oklahoma basketball home team, it has geared up to not only host the PBR’s Freedom Fest but also its own bull riding home team. Oklahoma Freedom, along with seven other teams, will compete over three days to win the PBR Team Series’ Fest at this renowned stadium. “It’s almost like Las Vegas comes to Oklahoma City for three days and you want to be a part of this,” said Cord McCoy, the head coach of the Oklahoma Freedom according to Koco.
The home team is now more enthralled than ever as it prepares to enter the showdown as the defending champions. Oklahoma Freedom clinched the title at PBR Freedom last year, and the home-ground advantage has them on their toes. “This is going to be a big deal. We won this event last year. It’s our home event,” said rider Casey Roberts. “We’re going to shoot to win again.”
With 40 of the best bull riders set to be present at the notable basketball arena, Paycom is gearing up to welcome hundreds of enthusiasts. Furthermore, the arena will also feature its $7 million video board for the first time, adding to the existing buzz.
The attending audience will not only witness the staggering performances but also the induction of the PBR’s Hall of Fame recipients.
