The bull riding realm has kept global fans at the edge of their seats. Professional Bull Riding never takes the spotlight with any less thrill, and this time is also the same as always. The Premier Series of the PBR has had some moments to cherish in this ongoing league. But there is more to come as an energy-packed game concluded in Sacramento on February 2.

When Neal McDonough, aka Lieutenant Lynn “Buck” Compton, made a PBR appearance at the recent event, fans cheered at the top of their lungs. Trying to be on board with the Cowboys and the traditions, McDonough put his best foot forward to show off his moves. Let’s see which move of his got the world hooked so much, or did it disappoint?

The Instagram of PBR posted a video of the American actor engaging in a tradition usually followed by Cowboys as a jollification. The caption reads “The Sacramento Sip”, and the clip paired with it has McDonough sipping beer from a cowboy boot. Raising his arms in the air, the 57-year-old looked like he achieved a big goal. For those who are unaware, drinking from a shoe can mean a punishment, bringer of good fortune, or mere merry-making. But according to military traditions, drinking from one’s own or any compatriot’s boot hints at a victory celebration.

The PBR Wrangler Long Live Cowboys Classic in Sacramento has declared Daylon Swearingen as the winner after the first round. The Carolina Cowboys’ phenom of 24 years age has bested his bull riding rivals and also the bovine athletes he locked horns with. But the Golden 1 Center crowd was rooting for Neal McDonough, who stole the spotlight. But not every fan is happy with Buck’s sipping attempt after all.

Fans expected better from McDonough

One fan commented outrightly that the US people can’t come up with originality. Said, “Can Americans make their own traditions instead of stealing everyone else’s?” Since Australians follow this tradition the most, one fan didn’t like it, and commented, “That’s a shoey and by australian standards a week effort”.

Another one made a tease in a light-hearted manner. Wrote, “I thought he was pouring p**s outta that boot!”, pairing with laughing emojis. One fan sided with his friend and wrote, “My boy @jonny45_ does it better”. More fans leaving comments like What kind of boot drink is that?” and “That’s gross”, were enough to stir the internet. We’re waiting for more content from UTB to see how wild the athletes or the celebrity guests can get.
